We are seeking a creative Electrical Engineer to join the Imaging Systems Group. As a member of our team, you'll contribute to critical system development and experimental efforts. You will be joining a diverse team committed to crafting an environment of innovation.
As an Electrical and Systems Engineer, you will:
- Primarily build one-off electro-optic prototype systems and testbeds. Assist in the brainstorming and development of new initiatives/concepts in optical imaging through internal research and development (IR&D) efforts.
- Support laboratory testing and systems engineering activities. Evaluate electrical, and imaging systems using equipment such as oscilloscopes/digitizers, function generators, light sources, optical detectors, spectrum analyzers, and other test equipment.
- Develop algorithms and software for experiment automation, data analysis, and/or subsystem control and testing.
- Support field integration and testing activities of developed systems.
You'll meet our minimum requirements for the job if you..
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in electrical/computer engineering or equivalent.
- Have at least a year of demonstrated proficiency with electronics hardware in a professional or academic environment.
- Have hands-on experience with: prototype development, circuit design, debugging, PCB design, microcontrollers, I2C/SPI/USB protocols, system integration, and similar tasks.
- Possess a demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team and possess strong interpersonal, speaking, and technical writing skills.
- Are able to obtain Secret level security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.

- Have a Master's degree in electrical/computer engineering or equivalent.
- Are experienced with camera interfacing, basic FPGA development, soldering, electro-optics systems, and optical bench testing is a plus.
- Have 3+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Have an active Secret security clearance.
