Are you our next EHS Outreach Project Management Lead?

This candidate will work within a small team responsible for providing technical EHS guidance, problem resolution, and consultative services to business partners to drive and enhance overall EHS performance. Provide project management and a leadership role in management system, compliance, and risk reduction assessments with a team of internal or external resources. Primary focus would be all North American facilities and secondary focus on functional groups.

What will you do?

  • Provide project management and technical consultative services tailored to the specific needs of Mosaic's North American business partners (Phosphates, Potash, Distribution, and Functional). Services may include but not limited to assistance with EHS training, hazard recognition/mitigation, targeted safety leadership coaching and mentoring, and behavior-based safety.
  • Proactively identify business needs and as a result create and build tools and processes in support of EHS initiatives. Serve as consultative partner.
  • Provide independent assessments such as thread analysis, compliance audits, Management System Assessments and Risk Reduction Verification to assure regulatory compliance with Environmental, Health, Safety, Mosaic standards, procedures and policies as part of a team of either internal or external resources.
  • Project manage a variety of consultants to provide EHS Assurance assessments and audits.
  • Facilitate EHS best practice sharing across sites, business units, and functional groups.

What do you need for this role?
  • Bachelor's degree required. Environmental or Engineering or related field preferred
  • 7+ years of project management experience
  • Experience in chemical, commodity or fertilizer business preferred
  • Experience in a wide variety of operations areas and sites
  • Experience and/or has played a role in large projects
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Office and SharePoint and Microsoft Project toolset.
  • Excellent verbal, written, listening and presentation communication skills
  • Ability to present and discuss technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must be able to build relationships in order to gain trust of various levels of site and business unit leadership.
  • Must be able to present and communicate to senior leadership.
  • Excellent abilities in priority setting, planning and structuring project deliverables
  • Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated problem solving techniques and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • Must be agile in adjust to fast changing priorities
  • Ability to think "outside of the box" when faced with project related problems or issues
