The Economic Development Data Analyst will join our Regional Economic Development Center at Yavapai College (REDC) with responsibility for producing policy analysis, impact studies, economic forecasts, analysis of business trends, and the latest economic indicator data for Yavapai County and Arizona.
The incumbent will be responsible for completing research projects under the direction of the REDC Executive Director. Projects will include work on advanced data management procedures and providing data analysis for major community projects. The position will also deliver analysis and forecasts of trends in state and local economic development. The Economic Development Data Analyst will need excellent organizational skills, have the ability to learn new software applications, and to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while providing accurate information.
- Design advanced data management procedures for REDC websites, including, forecasting models, and online social media publications.
- Complete regular data updates to be published on REDC's websites and in print.
- Contribute to REDC's work on state and local forecasting and economic impact analysis.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret seminal studies for relevance; write short analytical articles for a general audience for REDC websites and in print.
- Contribute to REDC's social media feeds.

Bachelor's degree in economics, public policy, geography, regional development, or a business-related field.Proficiency in IMPLAN, EASI, EMSI, GIS and/or other economic modeling softwareFamiliarity with publishing software such as Adobe InDesign and IllustratorThree years of relevant work experienceExperience working with socio-economic data sources and related studiesPreferred Skills & Abilities
Three or more years of experience in economic and/or policy analysis.Proficiency in graphic design software - publishingEssential Functions
