Job Description
Reporting to and supporting the Director of Donor Relations, the Donor Relations and Stewardship Coordinator is responsible for the guided management of key donor-related operations and logistics. This position provides an opportunity for innovation and creativity and allows the Coordinator to provide input on donor relations and stewardship strategies, goals, and tasks.

Essential Job Functions:

Donor Relations (60%)

  • Write, copyedit, and proof gift acknowledgements, tributes, and other key donor correspondence.
  • Manage the tracking of gift acknowledgements, tributes, and other pertinent donor correspondence.
  • Support and coordinate logistics as needed for signature donor relations and stewardship programs and events, and individual donor stewardship activities.
Stewardship Fund Reporting (30%)
  • In partnership with the donor relations team, develop and execute stewardship of departmental awards, programs, and endowed funds.
  • Collaborate with development team staff (especially frontline fundraisers), and other partners on topics related to execute donor stewardship.
  • Help to support donor fund reporting, including endowed and current-use scholarships,
Administrative (10%)
  • Input all donor relations and stewardship activities and touchpoints into Affinaquest Salesforce database.
  • Other donor relations and stewardship-related responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • One to two years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
  • Knowledge of basic communication and dissemination techniques and methods, including alternative techniques and methods. Knowledge specific to marketing techniques and methods a plus.
  • Knowledge of and skill with navigating and utilizing spreadsheets, presentations, word processing, databases, the internet, and other key computer and technical applications and related software. Knowledge of and skill with navigating and utilizing customer relations management applications a plus.
  • Strong reading and writing skills, demonstrating the ability to effectively communicate and understand information and ideas with others, demonstrating active listening and learning.
  • Demonstrates a strong ability to work with individuals across different identities, backgrounds, and abilities.

  • Ability to recognize and identify problems of varying complexity and develop, implement, and evaluate creative solutions as appropriate.
