Under general supervision from the Chief Production Officer, the Division Director, Marketing Communications & DEI, will direct the strategic and tactical leadership and management of staff, assets, and fiscal resources to deliver services and administer marketing, which includes Communications, Public Relations, Volunteer Services, Fundraising, DEI and Customer Service programs at Hoxworth Blood Center.

Essential Functions
  • Direct and manage daily operations of the assigned division; manages the staff, assets, and fiscal resources to deliver services and administer business services and programs at Hoxworth Blood Center.
  • Provides direct supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).
  • Serves on Hoxworth, industry, or University committees and acts as liaison to University departments and external entities.
  • Direct the management of the department budget; establishes guidelines for customer centric processes; recommends and approves purchases.
  • Develops policies and implements procedures specific to the division.
  • Performs related duties based on departmental need.
Required Education

Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Customer Service, or related field.

Required Experience

Seven (7) years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, public relations, customer service, health care, or applicable equivalence.

Additional Qualifications Considered
  • Five (5) years of direct supervisory experience managing employees, teams, or assets.
  • Master's degree is ideal.
  • Sufficient understanding of technical and regulatory aspects in blood banking and biotherapies.
  • Degree and experience shall be in related fields.
