The Enterprise Business Solutions Department of has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Director of Workday Configuration to work at the Coral Gables campus.

The Director of Workday Configuration leads the configuration and maintenance of Workday. Partners with Functional leaders to design and align business needs with system functionality. This position leads configuration leaders and Business Analyst to modify the application based on Business requirements within the change control process determined by the University. It ensures compliance to Security policies; resources are aligned to strategic goals and there is an in-depth internal knowledge of the system and its functions. This position manages the issues and enhancement list and creates the strategy to minimize them.

Responsibilities:


  • Handles complex factors, develops policies, procedures and practices for which there is no precedent

  • Plans, develops, administers and coordinates all functions and services for information technology projects, of all sizes and complexities

  • Works directly to, or support other team members in, discussions to understand business requirements, configure the Workday solution to meet requirements, demonstrate the configurations through the development of multiple prototypes, assist in testing and support launch

  • Develops and leverages internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals

  • Help facilitate and evaluate design challenges and provide feedback and options

  • Work with project teams to identify alternate solutions when product gaps exist

  • Partner with the integration team in helping to configure and test integrations between Workday and third party or custom solutions

  • Directs the functional activities analysis and re-designs and is empowered to provide functional requirements and signoff.

  • Will function in a technical leadership role, on capabilities, product issues and complex deployment challenges.

  • Partners in determining the best tools and methodologies for a given project, as well as the complete project process, from initial scope definition, functional and technical design, through implementation

  • Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce

  • Prepare and adhere to an operating and capital budget


Minimum Qualification:

Education:
* Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.

Experience:
* Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
