Job Summary

R&D Strategic Outsourcing aspires at leveraging supplier market intelligence and competitive landscape to develop and execute optimal outsourcing strategies in collaboration with key stakeholders, that enable speed, quality, business transformation, and efficiencies to increase Otsuka's probability of success.

This position leverages agile category management best practice in close collaboration with business partners to develop, lead, and implement a sourcing strategy and to lead a supplier relationship management program for strategic categories of services:

• Study Management and Monitoring (Contract Research Organization - CROs)
• Patient Recruitment and Retention

Job Description

• Establish relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure the highest service level
• Understand business objectives and business strategies
• Consolidate business needs
• Analyze business requirements, technical and regulatory constraints, and risk
• Analyze current supplier database (services, spend, performance, current agreements …)
• Leverage supplier market intelligence and competitive landscape
• Develop, lead, and implement category strategies to support long-term business needs
• Define category-specific KPIs and metrics to track and monitor supplier performance
• Develop and leverage RFX methodology
• Negotiate and implement competitive business agreements with strategic suppliers/CROs
• Monitor contract implementation and deviations
• Lead a comprehensive supplier management program
• Establish and coordinate a governance structure with regular business review with strategic suppliers
• Monitor performance and follow-up on remediation plans
• Facilitate timely issue escalation and resolution to ensure study timelines and deliverables

Requirements

Qualification

• Bachelor degree in management or science
• Minimum of 10 years in outsourcing Procurement or vendor management in the pharma industry
