Your role:

As the Director, Professional Relations, Northeast youwill be responsible for maintaining close relationships with the top tier national Key Leaders (KLs) and speakers. As a member of the Marketing team, you will provide a direct line of communication between the brand and our key customers which will be facilitated through face-to-face/virtual meetings. You will be responsible for the agendas, slide deck approval and facilitations of advisory boards in order to bring back key insights from our KLs to the Brand team to strategically partner and meet the needs of our key customers. Accountable for reactive requests from Senior Leadership on questions around top tier KLs and for partnering with global to identify consultants, advisors, and speakers for international and national congress meetings (ie ECTRIMS, AAN). Represent KL Strategy in annual brand planning process by providing key insights on trends, market dynamics and tools needed to achieve brand goal

You will work closely with the Director, Thought Leader Liaisons (DTLL) and TLLs to identity KLs for specific brand needs as well as supporting their areas. You will be responsible for being on their team calls and supporting their needs. Work with DTLLs and Sales Training to evaluate and shape TLL training that deepens scientific knowledge and presentation impact. You will work with EMD Serono advocacy team and Corporate Communications in developing relationships with key physicians and advocacy groups, pursuing opportunities to involve EMDS in meaningful partnerships that improve patient care. You will work with Market Access and Customer Service leadership and field teams as the commercial scientific liaison providing strategic planning and presentation support for regional and national plans. Appropriately coordinate and communicate with Medical personnel to address overall account needs per EMD Serono Medical / Commercial Interaction guidelines. You will work closely with legal and compliance to ensure contracting is according to EMD Serono policy framework. You will learn Quantum Connect (or any other related/replaced tool), to support contracting and Veritas to support PSMR approved materials.

The DPR team will be responsible for selecting speakers who will be on the annual speaker's bureau. The DPR team will also be responsible for speaker training and execution and coordination with HCP marketing on HCP materials for the speaker's bureau (including slide decks and MS Literature Reviews). The DPR team is also responsible for the execution of ex-US programs (MERGE). This requires work with the agency in creating decks, coordination of the speaker's schedules with the field and identifying the best strategy for execution. You will also lead monthly team calls with the TPS team to go over program strategy.

Work with HCP marketing team on congress strategy for booth and hospitality suite. Also be the lead for KL engagement and Senior Leadership engagement at Congresses.

Maintain current scientific knowledge and seek out information pre and post launch from medical and scientific literature, scientific meetings, symposia and seminars that differentiates EMD Serono products from the competition.

Who you are:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree

• English fluency

• Minimum 10 or more years field sales, product marketing, or medical/clinical experience in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry

• Experience in specialty, Neurology and Multiple Sclerosis Markets, Experience in niche market and competitive environments

• Experience with the Thought Leader Liaison model

• Significant recent U.S. experience managing a brand in a variety of places in the life cycle

• A proven track record in influencing without authority

• Knowledge of customer loyalty and/or customer satisfaction measures and their integration into business dimensions of people and process; ability to identify themes and data and make strong recommendations towards improvement in customer satisfaction and retention

• Strong knowledge of the reimbursement environment for pharmaceutical products, specifically Medicare related challenges

• Understanding of Patient focused advocacy within associated HIPAA regulations

• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage cross functional relationships to drive to a result

• Current understanding of pharmaceutical and promotional rules and regulations

• Knowledge and application of data sources, reports and tools to apply to account plan designs and measures of results for the strategies and tactics implemented

• Basic to intermediate level of skill in Excel, PowerPoint and Word

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in business or science

• Language skills additional to English

• Experience in institutional sales and/or large account selling

• Experience launching product(s), service(s)

• Scientific or clinical background

• Experience in healthcare professional and patient/consumer marketing

• Experience in affiliate commercial operations (sales, market research)

This is a field based role requiring travel as needed.
