Tremco is currently looking for a Director of Operations Accounting. The main purpose of this position is to manage the cost analysis functions and provide reliable information and analysis to control global Construction Product Groups (CPG) sites.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement and provide oversight of global Standard Costing methodology
  • Consult and drive improvement on financial results and metrics surrounding plant operations and inventory
  • Develop standardized operations review package; ensure training and adherence from global sites.
  • Act as a liaison between manufacturing function and FP&A regarding reporting requirements; improve various management reports and variance analyses as business needs arise; recommend techniques to improve efficiency, cost containment, and productivity; maintain and communicate month, quarter, and year-end reports and requirements.
  • Provide and enhance manufacturing accounting expertise within the organization, ensuring compliance with RPM inventory policies
  • Provide data, input, and financial direction on strategic projects
  • Support integration of acquisitions and existing entities to SAP, ensuring data integrity and mapping aligns globally.
  • Provide analysis and review of potential mergers and acquisitions, serve as a representative on business integration teams, work with RPM to provide proper acquisition accounting, work with business leaders and RPM to provide monthly acquisition updates.
  • Participate in the development, consolidation, scheduling, and analysis of the annual planning process; work directly with managers to review assumptions, identification of potential problems, and additional requests.
  • Assist with any other ad hoc account and financial analysis requirements as necessary and identify issues and initiate improvements to existing processes and reports
  • Assist with internal rate of return calculations for capital requests; understand and communicate the impact of capital expenditures on manufacturing and finance
  • Ensure confidentiality and integrity of financial data in compliance with GAAP, SOX, and RPM policies
EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting

EXPERIENCE:

10+ years of operational accounting experience

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Ability to influence all level of organization and drive change
  • High degree of flexibility and organization and the ability to effectively handle multiple concurrent projects, a fluctuating workload, and rapid changes in priorities
  • High-level analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to organize data and draw relevant conclusions
  • Detail, process, and procedure oriented
  • Ability to recognize errors and/or inconsistencies and take action
  • Ability to recognize and interpret trends
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to speak with all levels of the organization
  • Familiarity with accounting/financial reporting software (Hyperion Planning/Essbase, HFM, and SAP experience preferred)
  • Understanding of U.S. GAAP and SOX

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
  • Ability to work overtime when required for closing activities and special projects
  • Substantial amount of PC work is required
  • Some travel is required (< 20%)
  • Standard business office environment with occasional visits to manufacturing plants

The salary range for applicants in this position generally ranges between $112,000 and $165,000 plus bonus. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operations, needs, and other considerations permitted by law.
