We are a global company that is looking to change the way the world uses energy. We create smart charging systems for electric vehicles that use innovative technology to manage the communication between vehicle, grid, building, and charger. We are looking to add a Director of Purchasing to our team that will be responsible for directing overall purchasing operations, including purchasing and inventory of raw materials, selection of vendors, and distribution of finished products for our new manufacturing plant in Arlington, Texas. What You Will Be Doing - Define the purchasing strategy within the company with the different departments.
- Select and evaluate suppliers in accordance with the requirements of the company and its supplier selection policy. Negotiate costs and cost analysis, as well as delivery times with suppliers.
- Request an evaluation of quotes.
- Carry out supplier audits and monitoring action plans
- Permanent evaluation and improvements in purchasing conditions.
- Management and control of service contracts
- Market research.
- Homologation of new products with clients
- Annual cost reduction
What You Need for this Position - 3+ years of experience managing a supply chain system in a similar position
- Demonstrated success working in an industrial environment
- High level of knowledge regarding layouts design, stock management, WMS, and planning techniques
