Purpose

HR leader within Networks business at Avangrid and key consumer of business insights and analysis, this position is accountable to leverage resources and provide expert and timely consultation to the business.

This position is responsible for driving HR strategy and initiatives with leaders in the Networks Business. It is critical that the incumbent can navigate the matrix organization, can build strong relationships and influence within all levels of the business.

This is a highly relational role, requiring personal and professional confidence, stakeholder savvy, the ability to challenge and influence leaders, advanced written and verbal communication skills across a wide variety of audiences, cultural aptitude when interacting with varied stakeholders, and the business acumen to apply analytics, strategy, and insight to the continuous evolution of the workforce. Strong relationship skills and keen judgment are required, as well as flexibility, creativity, and a solid understanding of external business, and HR and talent management trends.

Responsibilities

  • Establishing the Human Capital plan for responsible the lines of business
  • Maintaining strong relationships with Senior leaders as a trusted thought partner, balanced advisor, and skilled people strategist
  • Developing medium to long-term workforce planning, talent planning, and workforce development strategies that are aligned with company and business objectives
  • Working closely with the Labor & Employee Relations organization to identify trends, maintain a positive working environment, manage critical issues
  • Proactively feeding back relevant insights from Senior leadership to HR leadership and heads of centers of excellence, driving relevant HR people strategy and workplace initiatives
  • Key stakeholder in change management strategy for company transformation efforts, culture changes, and workplace evolution initiatives
  • Key stakeholder and advocate for HR solutions and initiatives
  • Supporting all strategic headcount, compensation and recruiting initiatives as needed within the HR model
  • Actively engaging in business learning and relationship building strategies

  • Ability to diagnose OE capability gaps and translate into the OE levers - learning, culture, process, ways of working and behavior
  • Flexibility and adaptiveness especially under pressure - rigidity in methods, thinking, and process will not serve this role well
  • An ability to see the forest through the trees and independently manage priorities
  • Experience of driving culture and engagement strategies


Required Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's degree with 10 years related experience. Master's degree a plus.
  • Previous HR Business Partner experience preferred
  • Experience utilizing HR data and analytics to diagnose trends and link to business performance outcomes
  • Understanding of design principles and how they influence organizational design, use relevant bench-marking and can influence the stakeholders to choose a design which is both effective and efficient.
