Responsibilities

How Will You Contribute to the Company?

As Director, of Corporate Strategy, you will be in a pivotal role working closely with our C-level executive team to shape and enhance Cradlepoint's strategy. You will run our corporate C-level rhythm and lead a portfolio of x-functional CEO agenda initiatives to accelerate our organic growth, improve how we operate, and support decision-making and execution on our most important issues. This role reports to our SVP, of Strategy and Business Operations who reports directly to our CEO. You will lead multiple strategy project teams (consisting of top-tier Principals, Leads, and Associates) and materially and measurably drive long-term value creation for Cradlepoint

The ideal candidate is an experienced (Partner-level) Consulting or Corporate Strategy leader who can quickly develop a deep understanding of our business and lead a broad set of strategic efforts. Whether it be honing in on Board-level messaging or driving enterprise-scale operational efficiency projects or intercepting and accelerating growth for specific business lines, this role requires someone who is dynamic, adaptable, and has a passion for solving multi-layered business challenges. We're looking for someone who is intimately familiar with the value levers in world-class Enterprise Tech companies and knows how to roll their sleeves up, work cross-functionally, and wield influence with a broad set of stakeholders to get things done.

Given this unique position will directly impact the growth trajectory of Cradlepoint, we are in search of candidates with a first-principles mindset, big-picture thinking, reliable business judgment, transformation experience, executive engagement skills, and an unrelenting will to move the needle.

What Will You Do?

  • Work closely with our CEO and C-Suite to proactively identify, prioritize, scope, and shape our strategic vision, agenda and initiatives -This may include organic growth projects, M&A support, go-to-market and customer experience efforts, operational efficiency, and more
  • Lead and deliver major CEO-agenda initiatives in an agile, objective, data-driven, and partnership-oriented manner -This requires influencing and getting buy-in from x-functional leaders and architecting innovative solutions with a first principles mindset
  • Support our C-level weekly and quarterly rhythm including Board meeting prep, topical CEO reviews, and objective decision-support for complex cross-functional choices
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner, advisor, and sounding board for our C-level executives as they consider business critical decisions and longer-horizon choices within their own functions
  • Hire, lead, coach, and oversee teams of Principals, Leads, and Associates that support and drive our Corporate Strategy initiatives
  • Drive or play a supporting role in other complex x-functional efforts for the company including long-range planning, organizational/structural evolution, x-functional, and x-business line strategic alignment, company-wide operating model design, and others
  • Own the internal alignment of Corporate Strategy with other parts of the company including Product, GTM, Finance, IT, Legal & People teams
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Six (6+) years of experience in strategy consulting/corporate strategy function with Partner level responsibility in current role OR a combination of top-tier management consulting and in-house Corporate Strategy leadership experience
  • First Principles thinker with a deep understanding of typical enterprise tech models and value levers from a Corporate Strategy vantage point and across multiple disciplines/functions (e.g., Product, GTM, CS)
  • Executive presence and ability to engage with senior leadership in a constructive, collaborative manner and build trusted relationships
  • Experience designing, standing up, and leading complex high-visibility initiatives and programs on both growth strategy and efficiency topics
  • Demonstrable ability to lead cross-functional teams through influence
  • Strong management skills with experience leading multiple strategy teams across several projects and efforts simultaneously
  • A proactive, disciplined, and flexible roll my sleeves up mindset and determination to own outcomes for the company by driving the Corporate Strategy agenda in a self-directed/autonomous manner
  • A track record of consistently delivering measurable results and outcomes, even in trying and changing environment
