Reports to Head of US Commercial Finance, with one direct report
Act as the Finance Lead to the US CNS business unit, providing financial and strategic business partnership to the commercial team in identifying, delivering, and executing business goals & strategic priorities.
Own the development of budgets, forecasts and long-term strategic plans in collaboration with the commercial team, business analytics, pricing & contracting, and commercial functions.
Understand key drivers of performance and forecast assumptions, identify underlying commercial risks and opportunities for CNS brands and communicate issues and opportunities to senior finance and commercial leadership.
Establish a high level of credibility and a strong working relationship with business partners and involved functions across brand marketing, sales, commercial operations, business analytics, market access, and pricing & contracting.
Enable financially disciplined decisions through insightful and constructive analytics, impacting decision making at a leadership team level based on sound judgment, finance expertise and business acumen.
Play a leading role in the valuation of key commercial initiatives ensuring robust business cases are prepared with NPV/ROI analyses to asses new business opportunities, BD&L initiatives, LCM/LOE planning, capital investment decisions, pricing strategy and contracting.
Lead key commercial processes in areas such as revenue forecasting, pricing, discounting, gross-to-net, expense tracking, etc.
Lead a strategic partnership with pricing & contracting team to ensure detailed review and analysis of Gross to Net to drive accuracy in rate setting and forecasts, based on in depth knowledge of pricing and contracting strategies, clear understanding of root causes of actual deviations and forecast change assumptions.
Lead the development, analysis and presentation of CNS financial results to multiple stakeholders within the organization, with the ability to adapt/frame messaging depending on the audience, from executive level to the line manager level.
Act as Otsuka's senior finance representative and counterpart with alliance partners, supporting financial requirements of the alliance structure.
Drive the transformation agenda towards "Business Partnering" by role modelling the behavior and coaching the team toward the transformation vision.
Provide managerial leadership and guidance to direct report and team members through coaching, performance management and development dialogue.
Support ad-hoc cross functional projects.
Qualifications/ Required
Knowledge/ Experience and Skills:
Minimum 12-15 Years financial planning and analysis experience, with 10 years of progressive growth in the life sciences/pharmaceutical industry, minimum 5 years supporting business/commercial organization
Bachelor's degree required, MBA or CPA is strongly preferred

Educational Qualifications
- Finance/Accounting degree, or relevant discipline - MBA preferred
