Position Overview

As a member of the Product Business Operations team, this individual will be responsible for creating and implementing initiatives in both knowledge management (systems and process for documentation and communication) and process management (analysis and design of existing and new business processes) globally. This individual will be responsible for understanding and evaluating the needs of the Product organization and its stakeholders to ensure we remain in sync and enable key information for decision making. Specifically, this individual interacts with several groups across NPD regions including Product, Technology/Operations, Commercial, Research Science, and Executive Leadership to achieve objectives.

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and recommend documentation needs for the Product organization, instituting alignment and consistency protocols
  • Define processes for documentation creation, maintenance, updating, and auditing of content produced by Product
  • Play a lead role in the establishment of requirements as NPD pursues the next platform to serve our knowledge management needs
  • Play a lead role in the rollout and ongoing engagement with Product's modernized roadmap management tool
  • Provide recommendation on analysis and design of existing and new business processes originating within the Product team
  • Create a system of comprehensive metrics reporting within the Product organization
  • Lead collaborative efforts with groups across NPD to feed into requirements and outcomes on key initiatives. Liaise closely with support departments and other Product teams to ensure cross-pollination and leveraging effeciencies.
  • May manage one or more employees.


Qualifications:
  • 7+ years experience in market research, or product management.
  • BA/BS or equivalent preferably in Marketing, Business Administration, or Business Intelligence
  • Strong Market Research Experience working with POS and/or Consumer data, preferably in syndicated and/or custom research.
  • Demonstrated success in process analysis and creation
  • Experience working cross-functionally to achieve shared objectives
  • Solid organizational and project management skills; ability to manage and deliver on multiple project deliverables simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and visualization skills.
  • Expert in all MS Office products. (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Proven success working in Salesforce.com, product roadmap tools, and/or knowledge management platforms highly desired.

Most importantly, the candidate must demonstrate the ability to listen to internal clients and appropriately match need with/design the best solution.

The ideal candidate must be comfortable and effective when talking with a broad range of decision influencers and decision makers within an organization. The candidate will be able to work synergistically with a diverse group of stakeholders ensuring effective sharing of ideas, and effectively understand and build relationships throughout the prospective customer's organization.
