Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am-5pm, Saturday 9am-3pm . Two rotating Saturdays per month required.

Description:

The Direct Bank Specialist will be responsible for consumer loan origination through the Direct Bank hotline and Telephone Customer Service referrals. The incumbent will be responsible for leveraging both inbound and outbound calling opportunities to open new deposit accounts via the telephone, cross sell appropriate products to loan and deposit Customers, and will leverage all service to sales opportunities. This role will be assigned to both inbound queues and be responsible for outbound prospecting of Customers. This role will hold specialized licenses or have other training in the area of mortgage lending, small business certifications, or investments licensing to drive business and meet team and individual sales goals. This role will be responsible for the end of draw process, procedures and tracking. The incumbent will open new deposit accounts, organize all associated paperwork and disclosures and will schedule time for the Customer to complete the account opening. This role serves as a backup to the Telephone Customer Service queue when volume demands.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Must have at least 1 year of retail banking or Direct Bank experience

• Specialized knowledge of Bank and credit products: recognition of buying cues, knowledge of how to uncover customer need, operational knowledge of accounts and experience opening and settling accounts.

• Must have previous inbound and outbound sales experience and excellent customer service skills.

• Must know and follow all established policies, regulations, guidelines and procedures.

• Must be proficient with MS Office products.

• Must have strong oral and written communication skills as well as strong telephone etiquette skills.

• Must have good problem solving and listening skills.

• This position involves heavy contact with customers to provide superior customer service and daily interaction or contact with Associates from other departments.
