Overview

Looking for a detail oriented digital marketing and communications specialist to establish and maintain effective marketing communication via social media channels. The Digital Marketing Supervisor will assist with the execution of the annual marketing plan to help drive consumer engagement, park attendance and revenue. An excellent storyteller who offers innovative and creative ideas that add value to projects.

 

This position will be a part of the Kings Dominion communications team and will collaborate closely with colleagues to determine stories that are worthy of inclusion. They will bring story ideas to the table, take other’s ideas to the next level, and create engaging content that will appeal to a wide audience.

 

The ideal candidate is a solutions-oriented self-starter behind the camera and in the edit suite, who can keep Kings Dominions’ business goals and mission in mind when making decisions. The successful team member understands how to tailor the story to different platforms, including social media, mobile app, website, and earned media.

 

This position assists the PR and Consumer Demand Managers with execution of all park events and promotional offers. Responsible for maintaining and monitoring park’s social media channels, website. Performs related supervisory and professional work as required.

Qualifications

· High School Diploma and at least 1 year of related experience in interactive marketing, public relations, social media marketing, digital marketing, or similar position preferred.

· Experience in website management.

· Experience in photo and video editing software such as Adobe photoshop, Premier Pro, After Effects and Illustrator is a plus.

· Excellent planning skills, strong organizational and presentation skills.

· Good communication (written and verbal) skills, especially for dealing with content copy.

· Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.

· Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.

· Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.

· Valid Driver's License

Responsibilities

· Strong understanding of video / photography fundamentals and corresponding editing techniques to develop and enhance social digital platforms (YouTube, SnapChat, etc.); also create video content for park's website and other marketing purposes.

· Oversees design on owned social media channels (i.e., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Pinterest, etc.) and all content there within.

· Manage social media campaigns and day-to-day activities with social team; develop new and creative ways to use social platforms and create relevant digital content to tell stories and build our social presence. Duties include online advocacy, writing editorial, creating and sharing video/visual content, communicating promotions, etc. Creates social content strategy and editorial calendar in conjunction with park's Communications Manager (social team).

· Monitor and manage park websites, Mobile App platform and digital content for various digital platforms to maximize all content, grow the business and ensure relevant and up-to-date information for consumers.

· Provides digital marketing strategies to leadership. Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of digital programs, and analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results.

· Manage email campaigns with the Consumer Demand and Group Sales teams.

· Assist with writing and editing news releases and blog content.

· Monitor and manage online conversation and report key trends, insights, threats in user generated content surrounding the business and report to appropriate management.

· Monitor and manage park websites and digital content for various digital platforms to maximize all content and grow the business and ensure relevant and up-to-date information for consumers.

· Adheres to and enforces all Cedar Fair and specific Park policies and procedures, including safety, attendance and EEO Policies, and demonstrates commitment to customer service in all aspects of employment.

· Other duties may be assigned.
