Job Details:

Standing, Walking, Bending, Stretching, Twisting, Turning, Climbing, Pushing, Pulling, Stooping, Squatting, and Reaching:

• These activities are required in all areas of the job. Employees must be physically capable of performing them.

Lifting:

• The job involves lifting 40+ pounds, which is a necessary part of the role.

Climbing Stairs and Ladders:

• Employees must be able to climb up and down stairs and ladders as part of their duties.

Walking and Manual Dexterity:

• Frequent walking is required, and employees must use their hands to finger, handle, or feel objects.
• Additionally, they may need to climb or balance during work.

Experience Requirement:

• Candidates should have a minimum of 1 year of documented mechanic work experience in their work history or be a graduate of a maintenance training program.
• This experience can be a combination of employers as long as it totals at least 1 year.

Wait Period and Rule:

• There is a 180-day wait period from the last termination date.
• The 3X rule applies, meaning candidates cannot have worked for Tyson three times before.

Job Requirements:

• The facility may operate 6 days a week, including Saturdays and some major holidays.
• Candidates must be able to obtain a company license.
• They should understand and agree to follow safety rules, including practices like Lockout/Tagout.
• Compliance with DOT, OSHA, and Tyson rules, regulations, standards, and policies is essential.

Working Conditions:

• Employees must be prepared to work in all weather/climate conditions, ranging from very cold to very hot.
• The environment may also be dusty.

Work Hours:

• The standard work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday. However, there might be occasional requirements to work on Saturdays.

Internal Job Description:

• The position involves maintenance and preventative maintenance on diesel engine trucks and trailers.
• The focus is on ensuring a safe work environment while adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
