The Department of Health and Human Services' Developmental Disabilities Division is seeking a candidate with great analytical, finance/accounting and leadership skills for our Deputy Director - Finance position. This position will ensure State and Federal compliance for the $201M budget that supports over 10,000 participants in community-based services

Examples of Work

Job duties are inclusive of the following:

  • Direct the development and implementation of an administrative budget control system to obtain the necessary information and financial data required for decision making, budgeting, and planned processes for the DHHS/HCBS administration, services coordination, community based services aid budgets.

Qualifications / Requirements

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting, public/business administration, finance or closely related field and experience.
  • Experience in policy development.
  • Experience in data analytics.
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience in a senior level/upper management role in finance.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft suite, to include advanced level Excel functions.

Preferred:
  • The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of accounting principles and practices along with the ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent judgment and decision making abilities are essential to this position.

Other: Valid driver's license or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation for work-related travel.
