GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs all duties in managing the day to day services of Day Services, supervises all Community/Job Coaches. Provide training to clients in all identified areas and function as part of the interdisciplinary team. Must be willing to flex schedule according to client's needs. Coordinates activities for Consumers being served within Day Program. Must be willing to flex schedule according to Day Program needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Helps plan and implement community interactive experiences and interest-based classes as specified in each client's individual support plan (ISP).
  2. Create, oversee and monitor all Day Service Activity schedules for individuals served.
  3. The Day Program Activities Coordinator manages all Community/Job Coaches and may have to cover as needed to keep up ratio's.
  4. Create Volunteer Opportunities for our individuals in the community.
  5. Create and develop relationships that could lead to employment for individuals served.
  6. Train staff and individuals as planned per ISP and program schedule.
  7. Develop and maintain a functional sensory room.
  8. Completes documentation as required by state and federal regulations as well as Company required documentation.
  9. Completes Day Program and Employment assessments on all individuals served.
  10. Complies with behavior support policies and procedures and implements approved behavior support programs.
  11. Maintains certification in medication administration, CPR and First Aid.
  12. Attends departmental meetings
  13. Attends all required training and provides HR with updated personal information as mandated.
  14. Must report any suspected abuse, neglect or exploitation to supervisor or

department head.
  1. Complies with all standards to assure the health and safety of all staff and clients we serve.
  2. C omplies with and implements all protocols for individuals including but not limited to: high risk plans, dining plans, seizure management plans, positioning schedules, etc.
  3. Provide transportation as needed.
  4. Report to work as scheduled.
  5. Performs other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  1. Ability to create and manage tasks performed by others
  2. Effective communication skills with staff, management, individuals and other internal and external stakeholders
  3. Must be willing to be ACRE certified.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
  2. Valid Auto Insurance
  3. Experience working with children or adults with developmental disabilities preferred
  4. High school diploma or equivalent
  5. One year of experience managing a day program or college degree in Human Services or Psychology
