Summary Responsible for using advanced analytics working with both structured and unstructured data to solve business problems and deliver insights into future R&D delivery. Build user dashboards, reports and visualization tools for day-to-day business consumption. Explore, connect and translate data from segmented internal and external systems to enable proactive risk and pattern detection, historic baselining and predictive modeling . Drive productivity improvements through the use of automation, converting manual labor intensive tasks into automated data driven processes.

This role has the flexibility to function on a remote basis for those outside the region OR corporate Basking Ridge NJ site based.

Responsibilities

    • Reporting
      o Support the collection of requirements, technical build, testing, deployment and ongoing maintenance of reports both within and outside of R&D Systems
    • Data Analysis
      o Apply descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics to inform business decisions throughout all stages of clinical trial delivery
      o Consolidate data from multiple sources into Microsoft excel (or other means) and build calculations, pivot tables, charts and conditional formatting to extract insights from the Data
      o Translate data analysis into formalized messaging, insights and actions using PowerPoint and communicate effectively to stakeholders
    • Resourcing
      o Build more advanced statistical modeling and tools to support Resource Forecasting, Allocation and Time reporting to improve current and future workload planning, accounting for portfolio changes/complexity and external alliance partnerships
    • Application Development
      o Build, maintain and train end users on how to maximize decision support tools and self service reporting app using platforms like Spotfire, Tableau, PowerBI and others
    • Data Integration & Governance
      o Partner closely with IT to identify and harness new data sources for integration into Data Lake for future reporting
    • Competitive Intelligence & Benchmarking
      o Responsible for the submission of trial related data to support external benchmarking studies along with driving the internal communication and use of the respective data outputs/tools
      o Extract insights from public source data to inform current trial planning
      o Create technical means to identify new patients and sites using Real-World Data
    • Risk Mgmt & Data Surveillance
      o Enabling the Risk Based Quality Management (RBQM) team through:
       The technical development of a central mechanism to capture, analyze and track the mitigation of site, country, trial and project risks & issues
       Building automated data checks and alerts to detect pattens of risk to prevent larger issues from emerging
    • Build data & technology approaches supporting in-stream inspection readiness
    • Training
      o Support the delivery of data and technology driven training & business end user support
    • Data Quality
      o Support the upload/cleaning of historical trial data into systems like the CTMS along with building source system data quality checks
    • Enforce & monitor new data collection standards with 3rd parties to increase internal visibility of trial risks and performance through defined set of key metrics
    • Metrics
      o Produce KPIs, KRIs, KQIs and QTLs for all levels and functions within R&D, partnering with existing metrics SMEs to ensure harmonization
      o Support the collection of annual and trial specific targets
      o Support the tracking of Measures of Success for all Non-Drug related initiatives
      o Calculate measures of 3rd Party performance to inform instream actions and long-term strategic decisions

Qualifications: Successful candidates will be able to meet the qualifications below with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Education Qualifications (from an accredited college or university)
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Master's Degree preferred
Experience Qualifications
  • 4 or More Years Minimum of 4-6 years' experience developing advanced analytics, metrics, systems/technology and process automation, using both structured and unstructured data along with building visualization platforms and statistical algorithms
