RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute on and/or or participate in all aspects of design research throughout a project life cycle, including but not limited to:
    • Scope research projects, build research guides, discussion guides and screeners
    • Recommend design research approach and roadmap based on project type
    • Facilitate research virtually and in person (as applicable) with a variety of constituents including health care professionals, hospital staff, patients, caregivers, internal or external executives, etc  
    • Conduct post-research synthesis and analysis
    • Create and manage charts, pivot tables, status reports and/or project reports
    • Build out final analysis and business recommendation power point presentations
  • Comfortable facilitating both virtual and in person research
  • Broad understanding of HCD approaches, with a comfort and ability to learn new tools and determine which tools to use based on business needs & objectives, and / or interest and determination in learning new tools
  • Comfortable working with a variety of operating units across an organization
  • Responsible for contributing to and/or creating verbal, written, and visual communications, with a particular emphasis on problem framing, visual storytelling, and information design
  • Support the planning and facilitation of collaborative workshops, or focus groups
  • Support SOW Creation, vendor management, Needs Assessment Creation, Prototype packing, shipping, and tracking, and drafting other documents as needed
  • Liaison with internal Legal & Privacy Office on reporting / regulatory requirements
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications – Minimum
 

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of Design Research / Design Research Support / Innovation experience
  • Experience assisting in interviews and/or focus groups
  • Understanding of Human Centered Design discipline
  • A collaborative working style
  • Refined communication and presentation skills, emphasizing storytelling
  • Exceptional critical thinking and data synthesis skills
  • Demonstrated experience translating qualitative research into insights and strategies
  • Possess an innate curiosity for understanding people, how things work, and culture
  • Demonstrated business acumen across all levels of an organization
  • Exceptional presentation skills
  • Comfort working in ambiguity

Qualifications – Preferred

  • Ability to influence without authority
  • 1+ year(s) of consulting experience
  • Experience using Tableau, Domo, or other dashboarding tools
  • Quantitative and /or secondary research experience a plus
