Our Data Reporting Specialists play a meaningful role at Blue Cross of Idaho, creating reports based on the needs of our external and internal customers by utilizing processes and controls to ensure the reporting and data outputs are produced in a consistent format.

This position reports to the Manager Data Reporting within our Sales Retention and Operations team, and interacts with various groups across our organization. The Analyst will have flexibility to work fully onsite in our Meridian Idaho campus and/or hybrid location (onsite Meridian Idaho and work-from-home). #LI-Hybrid

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Information Systems, Business, or related field; or equivalent work experience (Two years' relevant work experience is equivalent to one-year college)

Required Experience: at Analyst I, no specific experience required; preference for some data, business analysis, and/or health industry reporting experience. At Analyst II: 2/+ years' reporting or related experience to include data, business analysis, and/or health industry reporting experience. At any level, strong preference for experience to include established skills in SQL, Tableau and/or Excel.

Your day may look like:

  • Building and maintaining documents around policies, procedures, and business requirements.
  • Evaluating existing reports and making recommendations for report consolidation
  • Providing information to analytics teams with enterprise data requirements.
  • Participating in and providing support for enterprise-wide data initiatives and master data management projects.
  • Collaborating and participating in cross-departmental and multi-functional data teams.
  • Providing client reporting utilizing premade solutions or making basic modifications to existing SQL or other reports.
  • Following process documents to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Monitoring incoming requests and providing responses for basic inquiries.
Level II additional responsibilities:
  • Subject matter expert (SME) in multiple tools relevant to work you're doing. May also provide in-depth training presentations on standard methodologies within multiple tools.
  • Validates, reviews, and reconciles data and reports prior to release.
  • Uses demand management processes to handle and prioritize incoming reporting, data, and support requests.
  • Creates training materials and content for internal and external reporting users.
  • Creates and maintain documents of high complexity. Validates documents created at all levels.
  • Evaluates existing reports and makes recommendations for driving innovation and report consolidation to meet market demands reducing the need for ad hoc requests.
