RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Architect in Phoenix, AZ.Summary:The Data Architect plays a critical role in implementing, designing, and managing the organization's data architecture to ensure efficient data storage, analysis, and retrieval. They are responsible for developing strategies to address the organization's data requirements, ensuring data integrity, availability, and security. This role requires collaboration closely with various stakeholders including data scientists, engineers, analysts, and business leaders to understand the requirements and design scalable and optimized data solutions.Key Responsibilities:- Data Architect will be designing and implementing the organization's data architecture to support business objectives and data-driven decision-making
- Developing data models, schemas, and dictionaries to ensure consistency and standardization across the organization
- Evaluation and selecting appropriate technologies and tools for data storage, processing, and analysis
- Establishing data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulations
- As a Data Architect, you will be collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translating them into technical specifications
- Overseeing the implementation of data pipelines and data ingestion, transformation, and loading
- Performing data analysis, profiling, and optimization to identify opportunities for performance improvement
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members on data architecture best practices
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Proven experience working as a Data Architect or in a similar role
- Strong background and knowledge of database technologies especially SQL 2016, 2019 and data modeling techniques
- Hands-on experience with data large datasets and warehousing solutions
- Proficiency in programming languages used for data manipulation and analysis (e.g., Python, JSON)
- Strong understanding of data governance principles, data security, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their data services
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex problems and optimize data architecture for performance and scalability
- Experience preparing data for use inside a Business Intelligence (BI) tool, such as Qlik
- Experience using BI Tools, preferably Qlik
- Experience in SSRS
- Experience with Postgres, or specifically Greenplum
- Experience using and creating documentation in Confluence
- Experience setting up and using Git, preferably for SQL based code
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
