Alteryx is searching for a Data Analyst in our Ann Arbor, MI office (REMOTE is an option).

As a Data Analyst on the Alteryx Data Science team, you will bring sales data to life through analysis that informs data-backed recommendations to sales leaders. It is a key role to help the company to continue to become more data driven as well as learn from great leaders in the software sales domain and data scientists.

Success in this role is critical to continuing to help our mission of data driven insights to drive strategy and operational decisions.

Position Details/Requirements

• Become trusted partner of our operations teams to answer sales leaders' questions with data-based recommendations
  
• Produce metrics that measure the effectiveness of business decisions and guide future decision making
  
• Bring the data to life through great analysis, visualizations, and storytelling to communicate findings and recommendations
  
• Become an expert of key datasets and identify gaps that the data operations team can resolve
  
• Use your innate problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and internal drive to continually grow, develop, and hone your craft
  
• Be fanatical about the data analytics space and help evangelize our work, team, and Alteryx as a whole!
  

Qualifications

• Experience with writing SQL queries to answer business question by blending many sources of data together
  
• Experience with a data visualization tool (Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, etc.) and data visualization best practices
  
• Ability to set and meet deadlines in a fast and thorough manner
  
• Detailed oriented to make sure the insights produced from the data are accurate and appropriate
  
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  
• Ability to work with geographically distributed teams
  
• Ability to collaborate with other teams (technical and business facing) across an organization
  
• Strong oral and written communication
  
• BA/BS degree in Information Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Finance, Business or related technical field
  

Helpful to Have

• Domain experience in Sales or Marketing
  
• Knowledge of a scripting language (Python, R, etc.)
  
• Experience with Alteryx platform, Snowflake, Salesforce, Marketo
  

Compensation:

Alteryx is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role in Ann Arbor, MI is $78,300 - $100,000. Compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.

This role is eligible for variable compensation including bonus and stock grants.
