Basic Job Functions:

Summary/ Objective

The Customer Service Representative (C.S.R.) is responsible for providing effective customer service for all internal and external customers by using excellent, in-depth knowledge of C.H.I. products and programs and communicating effectively with team members within the customer service department. Additionally, the C.S.R. will provide technical support to our dealers for various garage door product line components. This includes assisting with issues via telephone and email of moderate difficulty and troubleshooting while focusing on providing exceptional customer support.

Essential Functions

Provides timely and accurate information to incoming customer order status and product knowledge requests.

Assist in pricing of quotes and orders to dealers under automation system controls.

Processes customer orders/changes/returns according to established department policies and procedures.

Works closely with the credit department to resolve disputed credit items. Follow up on customers' claims for credit.

Follow up on complaints, which may require replacements, servicing, or other adjustments to ensure customers' satisfaction within established policies.

Provides timely feedback to the company regarding service failures or customer concerns.

Partners with the sales team to meet and exceed customer service expectations.

Other reasonably related duties as assigned

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year of previous general labor and/or customer service experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess customer service experience, excellent communication skills, high problem-solving skills, and keen attention to detail. In addition, they must be highly organized, have basic math and computer skills, and be comfortable navigating various computer databases. Mechanical and technical aptitude is preferred.
