This position supports our healthcare professional liability line of business and is based in Birmingham AL.

Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of this position is to receive, review and process incoming communication in all forms and task it appropriately so proper action can be taken by the end user. A proper balance of quality and speed must be achieved. Document control is necessary. Occasionally, must initiate contact with customers to determine and clarify needs. This position will act as a subject matter expert for the department on workflow applications and process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

55% - Monitor and process ImageRight workflow queues including, but not limited to:

  • Mail Import, Invoice and facsimile and then index into ImageRight.
  • Submissions inbox and index into ImageRight.
  • Renewal application solicitation, intake, CIS update, IR print and accurate routing.
  • Print documents to file when necessary.

20% - Process paper mail including, but not limited to:
  • Date stamp mail received.
  • Scan into applicable file(s).
  • Deliver/Route mail as applicable.
  • Returned mail indexing.
  • Create and ship records via secured process upon request.

10% - Process Certified Policy requests with accuracy and with 24-48 hour service standard.

5% - Adhere to records retention policy, including document destruction of scanned documents.

Secondary Responsibilities:

5% - Evaluate workflow and recommend improvements.

5% - Assist with front desk coverage as needed.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required.
  • Minimum two years' experience in a customer service, claims, underwriting, medical, or legal office environment.
  • Critical thinking skills and time management skills are essential.
  • Dependable and detail oriented.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to accomplish multiple tasks in a timely manner.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
