About the role:

WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity for a Custom Order Supervisor to join our team in Duluth, GA. This role supervises activities related to custom LV orders by developing and maintaining the necessary resources.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Has direct responsibility for all assigned team members: from performance, human resource, training and coaching perspectives.
  • Provides feedback and solutions for management consideration.
  • Instills a focus on customer service to all team members.
  • Effectively evaluates and adjusts team workload, as necessary.
  • Drives improvements by recommending KPIs to review the processes, the performance of the team, the response time and the overall quality of service.
  • Reviews current processes and finds solutions to improve and streamline (eliminate no value activities).
  • Increases effectiveness by providing tools, training, and standardized processes that support daily operations.
  • Establishes short and medium-term goals for both himself and the team.
  • Implements training programs and procedure changes, as necessary, to support improved team performance.
  • Interacts with all other department Supervisors/Managers to improve relationships and communication between departments for both internal and external teams.
  • Participates in special projects, focused on department-level improvements.
  • Regularly mentors team members and trains new hires.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance. Responsible for addressing employee complaints and resolving problems.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Education:
  • High School diploma or GED. Associates degree or equivalent in a relevant field is preferred.

Knowledge / training:
  • Strong knowledge of sales and customer service concepts.
  • Phone etiquette for customer interaction.
  • Process Flow Mapping and Quality Tools.
  • Technical aptitude (electrical and mechanical).
  • Understanding of industrial applications, as appropriate for specific product groups.
  • People management.
  • Teaching others on departmental and company strategy, as well as describing the effect of actions, required.
  • Microsoft Office.
  • Some finance experience is highly beneficial.

Experience:
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
