HotFoot Recruiters has partnered with a Landscaping Construction company in need of a Direct Hire Sr. AR Cost Accountant in the Phoenix, AZ area.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Obtain and track all lien waivers for subcontractors and sub-tier vendors
• Review 20-day preliminary lien notices, maintain systems, and files
• Review & apply payments and enforce lien waiver compliance process
• Review subcontractor insurance certificates, maintain systems and files
• Assist Subcontractors and Construction team with inquiries
• Process AIA billings for multiple construction projects with tight deadlines
• Prepare and process journal and job cost entries
• Prepare monthly account analysis for accounts payable
• Request Job related payments to vendors upon receipt of payment from Client per prompt pay laws
• Assist with Accounts Payable functions when needed
• Provide support to Accounting Department and Construction Team

Qualifications:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field or equivalent work experience
• 2+ years' experience in financial/accounting management
• Previous experience in Real Estate, Construction Accounting or related field required
• Must have extensive knowledge of computers including MS Office

• Experience with Sage 300 CRE (Timberline) strongly preferred
• Strong analysis and decision-making skills
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work well under pressure
