Corporate Sanitation Manager - Food Processing - 3rd Shift We are a large food processing company with facilities in TX, AL and GA) The position is responsible for overseeing and working with the 3rd Party Sanitation Provider for all of these facilities. This position is solely a 3rd shift position with varying hours. So, the role can be based out of either of these facilities.
What You Will Be Doing This position is responsible for being the primary contact on 3rd shift between our company and 3rd Party Sanitation Provider. The position is responsible for the following including but not limited to:
- Food Safety and Employee Safety- Making sure that 3rd Party Sanitation Provider is following policies and procedures related to both Food Safety and Employee Safety, along with accurately reporting any deviations from those policies and procedures in a timely fashion.
- Helping to maintain chemical inventories in association with 3rd Party Sanitation Provider and communicating with the supplier when levels need replenished.
- Use observational skills and knowledge to help curtail downtime or keep downtime from going out of control that is related to 3rd Party Sanitation Provider. Additionally, report damages occurring during Sanitation in timely fashion along with investigation information to determine fault.
- Be able to investigate and document out of specification microbiological results and effectively communicate observations as to why and what is being done to resolve/ correct these types of issues from the 3rd Party Sanitation Provider standpoint.
- In conjunction with QA Management, Operations Management, Maintenance, and 3rd Party Sanitation Provider- be able to put together various reports on different aspects of Sanitation performance. These include but are not limited to:
oDowntime associated/ attributed to Sanitation.
oEquipment Damages
oMicrobiological Results
oWater Usage
oOperational Work Schedule
oMaster Sanitation Schedule
oDaily Observational Reports
What You Need for this Position - Extensive background and knowledge of chemicals and chemical usage.
- Self- starter, independent worker. Needs little to no supervision to perform job.
-Clear and accurate communication between 3rd Party Sanitation Provider and John Soules Foods departments.
- Observational extraordinaire, attention to detail.
- Avid Analytical Thinker. Be able to think outside the box.
- Prefer 4-year college degree with emphasis in Sanitation/ Food Science. At a minimum a high school with at least 5 years of Sanitation/ Management experience.
