General Description / Primary Purpose:

The Coordinator Facilities Management, under the direction of an Assistant Director or above, assists in the design, development and implementation of departmental processes and/or programs. Recommends policies and procedures to ensure effective coordination of departmental programs.

Job Function:

This position assists the Senior Associate Athletic Director of Facilities & Operations in the management of all Athletic facilities and game management responsibilities.
The primary responsibilities of this position include:
- Serve as game manager for select events and competitions, coordinating the planning and executing of home competitions taking place in UNF facilities, including the set-up and breakdown of equipment, scheduling and supervising game day staff, coordinating with officials and visiting teams, maintaining the facilities, cleaning the facilities, enforcing policies and providing service to the fans in attendance.
- Plan and conduct daily athletic field management and athletic field maintenance in accordance with NCAA division I rules and standards.
- Coordinate with Coaches and Administration regarding Athletic facilities maintenance and coverage of Athletic events.
- Assist with directing the operations, maintenance and utilization of all athletic controlled facilities.
- Assist with overseeing the maintenance of equipment to minimize repair costs and insures the timely completion of tasks.
- Supervise a grounds crew and participates in the manicuring and maintenance of athletic fields and athletic facilities so that they are safe, neat and attractive for students, faculty, staff, and patrons. Turf maintenance duties include mowing, edging, weeding, tree trimming, plant bed maintenance, landscape construction and replacement.
- Supervise and manage projects as assigned by Associate AD of Facilities & Operations.

Required Qualifications:

A Master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university in a directly related area of specialization; or a Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university and two years of experience directly related to the job functions.

Departmental Requirements:

Experience with landscape equipment. This position requires that the employee be able to work with a wide diversity of people. Knowledge of landscape of maintenance techniques; knowledge of procedures and methods used in proper tree maintenance. Skill in safety & effectively operating riding movers; using supplemental landscape maintenance equipment such as power edgers, blowers, power hedge trimmers, and the like. Ability to use hand tools such as rakes, shovels, looping shears, pole saws, and the like. Ability to lift & carry loads of 50 pounds or more (bags of fertilizer, bags of grass seed, sod, asphalt patch, and the like); to push to pull small equipment such as walk-behind edgers, mowers, and blowers. Ability to walk long distances on level & uneven terrain while using equipment Ability to understand University rules, regulations, policies and procedures; ability to communicate information effectively.

The holder of this position is responsible for any NCAA and Atlantic Sun Conference bylaws and guidelines that a member of the UNF Athletic Compliance Department provides in addition to all UNF regulations. The individual must also assure that NCAA, Conference and UNF regulations are followed to the best of their knowledge and any violations thereof are reported to UNF Athletic Compliance.

This position has been designated as a Campus Security Authority (CSA). This position has been designated as a CSA because it involves significant responsibility for student and campus activities and/or responsibility for campus security. As such, any person in this position must report to the University Police Department a crime or an incident that might be a crime that he/she becomes aware of. This position has a reporting requirement because the University believes that responsibility for students, campus activities and/or campus security will make the holder of this position someone members of the University community will see as an authority figure and someone to whom they can seek help. A CSA is not expected to investigate or determine whether a criminal incident actually took place. A CSA's responsibility is a duty to report. All positions designated as CSAs are required to complete an online or in-person training session. The holder of this position is designated as a "Responsible Employee" pursuant to their role under Title IX. Therefore, the incumbent must promptly report allegations of sexual misconduct, sexual violence, and child sexual abuse by or against any student, employee, contractor, or visitor to the University's Title IX Administrator or any divisional Title IX Coordinator.

Required Licensure or Certification:

Must be able to complete the defensive driving course offered through the athletic department.
Must be able to become CPR and First Aid certified.
