GENERAL FUNCTION:

  • Accomplish tasks through the use of software programs and databases to include, but not limited to, Contracting Writing System (ConWrite), FedBizOpps or equivalent, EDA, Federal Procurement Data System-Next Generation, and USAF Data Services.
  • Subject to compliance with the FAR, DFARS, Air Force Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (AFFARS), mandatory procedures, informational guidance, as well as other applicable documents and regulations, systems, and guides, as required.
  • Provide administrative assistance to the Government CO with the following tasks:
    • Preparing contracts and modifications
    • Providing database support Supporting contract closeout
    • Collecting data for audit and/or report requests
    • Coordinating with other Government agencies
    • Coordinating with DFAS
    • Creating, retrieving, and requesting contracting report
    • Producing copies of acquisition documentation
    • Preparing source selection material
    • Tracking contract milestones.
    • Perform self-inspections and present detailed and comprehensive reports with any corrective actions taken or required.
    • Assess and revise policies and procedures as needed to find ways to improve quality, timeliness, and efficiency of work.
  • Participate in discussions and meetings. Present clear, concise, and well-structured presentations, orally or in writing, that address the designated procurement issues. Consider the composition of the audience, knowledge level, and desired outcome when composing the material. Identify problems, both in broad and detailed terms, and attempt to resolve conflicts in a timely manner through discussions with responsible members in a meeting or working group.
  • Establish and maintain effective professional working relationships with co-workers, and customers.
  • Follow policies and procedures as described in corporate manuals and directives.
  • Attend work each day during scheduled work hours unless on approved travel or time off.
  • Perform occasional travel to contractor and customer sites, as required.
  • Work flexible hours, including occasional overtime.
  • Carry out other duties as may be assigned or requested.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certifications/Experience/Skills:
  • Independently demonstrate proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Skype/Lync, and MS Teams), Adobe Acrobat, and applications for access to the World Wide Web including MS Internet Explorer. May be required to learn to use other commercial or specialized computer applications.
  • Establish and maintain a positive working relationship and create an atmosphere of partnership with DoD and USAF personnel, all FMS customers, the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), and other implementing agencies, such as the Deputy Undersecretary of the Air Force for International Affairs (SAF/IA) and the U.S. embassies located with FMS partners, the prime weapon system contractor, subcontractors, and associated contractors.
  • Knowledge, experience and demonstrated ability to perform tasks related to the technical/professional discipline they are performing and ability to work independently and apply the proper procedures and process related to their area of expertise.
  • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot various situations to develop successful outcomes within established program/project guidelines (Program Office and Staff Level Support interface)
  • Must obtain and maintain a government security clearance at the secret level.
  • Must be able to transport self to various facility sites, as required. If using own motor vehicle, must possess a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
