Our Compliance Engineer / Quality Analyst provides compliance guidance to the new product introduction teams and ensures the product complies with the latest Industry standards, directives, and regulations. Ensures continuous compliance of all currently manufactured and sold products. Collects and analyzes data, performs data analysis fact checks, and assists in the tracking and investigation of field issues. Identifies insights using statistical, algorithmic, mining, and visualization techniques. Develops and maintains KPIs for the Global Quality team in the form of Dashboards.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure product compliance by collaborating with design teams; reviewing design data; identifying and resolving product and engineering design issues; and researching and identifying applicable. regulatory and industry compliance standards and codes.
  • Develop compliance plans for New Product Introduction programs by preparing timetables, cost estimates, required internal and external resources, and equipment.
  • Determine compliance by witnessing tests, measuring, analyzing, and evaluating findings.
  • Document compliance by completing test requests, and approval applications; recording, analyzing, and summarizing test results; preparing Declarations of Conformity.
  • Analyze new products for safety-related risks and create Risk Assessment reports.
  • Update job knowledge by tracking and understanding new standards and regulations; participating in educational opportunities and professional organizations; reading professional publications; and maintaining compliance database.
  • Assist with managing external suppliers' environmental compliance survey responses and ensure environmental compliance with RoHS, REACH, Prop 65, and other applicable regulations.
  • Support external product and process compliance auditors.
  • Monitor and present the field performance of all active products.
  • Report Cost of Poor Quality on finished good models or raw material components.
  • Provide field performance feedback to the NPI teams.
  • Determine the best methods of integrating data from different sources and formats - Oracle Business Intelligence, Exact, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2+ years of experience in a data analytics technical environment role.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or another quantitative field.
  • Experience within a manufacturing or engineering organization.
  • Experience with Product and/or Environmental Standards and Regulations.
  • Experience with New Product Development processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to perform thorough data analysis and present relevant results.
  • Experience with data visualization tools, i.e. PowerBI.
  • Oracle Business Intelligence, Excel, and Oracle ERP experience preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
