CNC MACHINIST 2nd shift
Direct hire opportunity
2pm - 12:30am or 3pm - 1:30am Monday - Thursday
Liverpool
$25 - $35 an hour DOE with $2 differential, benefits

A Syracuse area company is seeking a CNC Machinist for an exciting direct-hire opportunity. This organization offers excellent benefits, competitive starting compensation, and career advancement.

Duties:

• Read and interpret complex blue prints, shop travelers, and operation sketches for machined and/or fabricated parts.
• Inspect parts to specifications and document results.
• Installing fixtures and setting work offsets.
• Using an offline tool pre-setter, prepare and set tools needed for machining operations.
• Accurately and efficiently diagnose deviations and trends; adjust offsets to maintain quality product based on the analysis.
• Report machinery, tooling or quality issues to supervisor.
• Run multiple machine centers as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Experience in set-up and operation of multi axis CNC machinery; 4/5 axis horizontal mills with pallet line preferred.
• High School Graduate or equivalent; technical certification or degree a plus. Ability to work from complex drawings containing GD&T.
• Ability to perform accurate manual inspections of parts produced.
• Solid understanding of G-code.
• Ability to program machines a plus.
• Experience with low volume, high mix production a plus.
