Basic Job Functions:
The role of the Machinist/Roll Turneris to safely play a key part of the Roll Mill Production Support Team. Areas of responsibility primarily include, but are not limited to: proactive focus on the management of rolls and roll turning, managing tooling inventory, and programming equipment for efficient operation. Machinist/Roll Turners are also responsible for performing proper maintenance on machining equipment and scheduling equipment to meet demands of the rolling mills. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
