This is a hybrid role and will train in Newton, MA.

Job Summary

The Supervisor of Clinical Documentation has oversight of the Clinical Documentation Specialists under the direction of the Clinical Director. Responsible for leading the optimization of Medicare reimbursement and all other insurances. Leads the review and edit of all Medicare and Medicare Managed clinical documentation and OASIS accuracy to ensure compliance, coding accuracy to meet agency standards as it relates to HHVBP, Star Ratings, and Reimbursement. Optimize efficiencies and ensure positive patient outcomes by achieving metric goals in partnership with clinicians and managers.
Key Responsibilities

• Direct oversight of the Clinical Documentation Specialist team

• Ensure that team assignments are balanced fairly, as a result of inflow and outflow of various timepoints and adjust accordingly.

• Interview/Hire CDS as needed

• Develop workflow process for optimization and efficiency.

• Monitor performance to key metrics including productivity, coaching and team building.

• Collaboration across teams to eliminate barriers.

• Manage team to budgetary guidelines.

• Manage staffing needs

• Data reporting

• Ensure coaching and education of clinical documentation to clinicians is provided, to be sure compliance with regulatory and financial guidelines.

• Ensure compliance is met for federal, state and agency policies and regulations.

• Report pending issues and updates to Director weekly.

• Prepare and review Monthly report of key metrics with Director.

• Collaborate across departments to facilitate orientation, preceptor for new hires.

Education/Degree Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent clinical education
  • Leadership experience preferred.
Licensure, Certifications or Registration

Current clinical license in Massachusetts required (RN, PT, OT)

• ICD certification (HCS-D) and OASIS certification (COS-C) required.

Experience
  • 3-5 years' experience in documentation review
  • Experience in Oasis review strongly preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of Medicare Conditions of Participation
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn various software packages.
  • Detail-oriented skills with ability to organize and prioritize workload.
  • Previously demonstrated ability to achieve results by holding self-accountable.
  • Strong written, verbal and electronic communications skills.
  • Ability to work with and positively influence a variety of personalities and diverse workstyles.
  • Travel within PHH geographic locations required.
  • Experience in Home Care Quality is preferable.

Physical Environment

Usual office environment. May occasionally travel to meetings or work in other office locations.
