Overview

Responsible for ensuring all inbound loads are prioritized, scheduled and received.

Responsibilities

  • UTILIZE GOOD WRITTEN AND VERBAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS TO WORK WITH VENDORS, SUPPLIERS, CARRIERS, DOCK EMPLOYEES, AND MANAGEMENT FOR IDENTIFYING, PRIORITIZING, AND SCHEDULING APPOINTMENTS FOR ALL INBOUND LOADS; COMMUNICATING WITH STOCK RECEIVERS TO PROVIDE DIRECTION ON PRIORITIZING RECEIPTS
  • WORK WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE AND PRODUCTION PLANNING TO IDENTIFY AND SET APPOINTMENT SCHEDULES FOR ALL PRIORITY INBOUND SHIPMENTS
  • UPDATE ALL RECORDS ASSOCIATED WITH RECEIVING OFFICE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO; UPDATING AT -TASK, SEACHANGE, FAST TRACK REPORTS, YARD CHECK REPORTS, TMS SCHEDULING, APL RECORDS, AND DATA BASE RECORDS
  • MAINTAIN ALL RECORD KEEPING ACTIVITIES FOR DRIVER LOG SHEETS, BILL OF LADINGS, RECORDING AND TRACKING SEALS, FILING OF ELECTRONIC AND PAPER FILES IN APPROVED STORAGE AREAS
  • INITIATE ALL SHIPMENTS SYSTEMACTICALLY IN THE AS400, CLOSING ALL MANIFESTS, RECORDING AND TRACKING ALL OS&D SHIPMENTS, CORRECTING SHIPMENT ERRORS AND DAMAGES FROM VENDORS AND CARRIERS
  • WORK WITH QUALITY AND INVENTORY CONTROL DEPARTMENTS TO RESOLVE DISCREPANCIES IN QUALITY SPECIFICATIONS AND INVENTORY RECORDS
  • RECEIVES AND LOGS INVENTORY AND RAW MATERIALS INTO LAWSON
  • RECEIVES VIRTUAL RECEIPTS INTO WM FOR MULTIPLE DC'S
  • ASSIST SUPERVISION IN ENSURING SAFE WORK ENVIROMENT ON THE RECEIVING YARD AND RECEIVING DOCK TO ENSURE ALL COMPANY SAFETY PRACTICE GUIDELINES ARE ADHERED TO
  • ALL OTHER REQUIRED FUNCTIONS AND ACTIVITIES NOT SPECIFICALLY MENTIONED TO SUPPORT THE FACILITY AND SUPPLY CHAIN

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION/DEGREES: High School diploma or equivalent

TYPE OF EXPERIENCE: Working knowledge of computers systems, excellent written and verbal communication skills for working with vendors as a company representative, must be strong in math skills, must be confident in decision making and detail oriented.
