The Chrysler Brand with its century long heritage of innovation and design has a lot to be proud of. The Chrysler Brand team is looking for a strong and passionate candidate to help build upon the brand's successes and opportunities.

The Pricing Strategy team is responsible for optimizing the value equation for our vehicles and for bolstering Chrysler Brand's positioning through forward-thinking pricing strategies that leverage the competitive environment, market trends, and product plan optimization.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and managing pricing, margin and value strategies for future Chrysler nameplates, and will be key in establishing the appropriate positioning to support Chrysler's transformation.

Job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:


Data Analysis:

  • Identify industry trends related to feature pricing, packaging, and subscription models
  • Analyze the competitive environment as it relates to standard and optional content and competitive pricing strategies
  • Identify market trends and propose pricing actions aimed at improving Chrysler's price position and competitiveness
  • Establish plan for profitability optimization through strategic pricing of options and innovative revenue models (i.e. OTA upgrades, subscriptions, smart bundling)
  • Partner and influence cross-functionally, particularly sales operations, incentives, finance, product planning, research/insights
  • Assess market, competitive and consumer insights and apply strategic and critical thinking to pricing analysis
  • Proactively measure and monitor effects of pricing trends; create proposals for course correction, performance optimization

Chrysler Brand Reporting:

  • Support monthly pricing power analysis for Chrysler Brand
  • Provide strategic input to support governance meeting presentations for future vehicles
  • Collaborate and discuss with senior managers and directors in order to develop commercial pricing strategies
  • Assess and translate product differentiation and value propositions into pricing opportunities
  • Create and implement value and demand-based pricing models vs. cost-plus pricing
  • Communicate the purpose and value of strategic pricing to cross-functional partners to gain support for applying different value-based, fact-based approaches to pricing future products and features.

Cross-Functional Exposure:

  • Work cross-functionally in the development of specific inputs to support Chrysler's positioning strategy
  • Accountable for the timely submission of all pertinent governance presentations to the respective committees
