ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Patient Care:

  • Perform intake assessment and health history to learn about the patient and their injuries and/ or health concerns and conduct appropriate physical examination.
  • Primary emphasis of treating musculoskeletal complaints through chiropractic manipulative therapy (CMT), other manual therapies, acupuncture,therapeutic/rehabilitative exercises, and physiotherapy modalities within the scope of state you will be practicing in.
  • Physically examine patients by testing their reflexes and posture, use chiropractic techniques to diagnose neuromusculoskeletal conditions.
  • Order/Interpret diagnostic studies including X-Ray, MRI, CT, EMG, NCV, US, and lab work to assist with evaluation and treatment of patent concern or injury.
  • Generate and implement treatment plans based on ICD-10 & CPT codes
  • Create a plan for treatment and management based on ICD-10 and CPT codes and data collected that focuses on the patient's overall health and wellbeing.
  • Provide patient education on various musculoskeletal and health issues.
  • Administer holistic treatments, such as spinal manipulation, adjustments, massage, e-stim, and hot and cold compresses as appropriate.
  • Providing supplemental treatments, such as massage and acupuncture to the injured area
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers within clinic and externally on patient care.



Patient Education:
  • Provide patients with tips to improve their lifestyle, including nutrition, exercise plans, and stretches.

Other Duties:
  • Maintain accurate patient records according to policy.
  • Maintain credential and keep up to date with developments in Chiropractic care by attending conferences and workshops.
  • Refer patients to other doctors or specialists, as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Doctor of Chiropractic degree.
  • State license and valid malpractice insurance.
  • 3+ years of experience
  • Prior experience working in a primary care setting is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are essential in order to build relationships with patients, and strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a close-knit team.
  • Superior time management skills and the ability to juggle a large patient load.
  • Ability to empathize with patients who are in chronic pain and a strong desire to help improve their quality of life.
  • Must be able to think critically and make judgements about how best to help patients.
  • Up to date on the latest chiropractic practices
  • Must be in good physical condition and have the dexterity and strength to perform adjustments and manipulations on patients.
