Trinity Health Of New England is looking for a Resident Chaplain to join our team of mission-driven healthcare innovators. The Chaplain Resident is responsible for responding to the spiritual needs of to patients, families and staff of all faith traditions throughout the organization, provides interfaith spiritual care through visitation, crisis intervention, prayers, sacraments as needed and appropriate, bereavement and end-of-life support, life-reviews, spiritual care consultation around existential questions, spiritual and religious rituals, worship services and staff support. The Chaplain Resident functions as a team member of the Spiritual Care Department and establishes collaborative relationships with the interdisciplinary care team, other professionals and the community. Work Hours/Shift:
  • 40 hours, Rotating shifts.

You Will Be Responsible For:
  • Exceptional Patient Care: Must understand we exist for the patients and their care is the number one priority.
  • Excellent Communicator: Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with admin, colleagues, patients and family member.
  • Strong Educator: Educate patients and family members so that they have a transparent understanding of the care being provided.
  • Technical Familiarity: Understanding in computer-based applications, email, and standard applications such as Microsoft Office.
  • Active Teamwork: Demonstrates problem solving, conflict resolution, and positive communication through teamwork.

Requirements:
  • Education: College degree BA/S, MDiv/equivalent, graduate studies in theology, religion, counseling, psychology or spirituality; one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education from an accredited CPE center.
