Job Summary

  • Provides spiritual care and support to staff, patients, and their families according to established policy and protocol.
  • Works in concert with other clinical staff to assess the spiritual, religious and cultural needs of patients and their families and plan and provide care respectful of religious and cultural diversity.
  • Involves and coordinates care with the patient or family's religious leader when permission to do so is given.
  • Works to interpret and fulfill the Hospital's mission to provide compassionate, high-quality care.
  • Chaplains must complete one unit of CPE.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 730am-4pm; two 8-hour shifts per month; 2-3 holidays per year. (Weekend shifts may take place anywhere from Friday overnight to Sunday overnight; it may be a day shift, evening shift, or night shift.. Candidates must be available to work any hours during the course of their assigned weekend.)
