The Senior Community Care - PACE is currently hiring for a Caregiver - Personal Care Attendant (PCA) to complete home care visits in our senior client's homes in the Delta County area.

FULL-TIME HOURS

Standard hours are a shift between 6:30 am to 8:30 pm and must work every other weekend

WAGE: $12.35 - $15.12 an hour

We reimburse you for mileage driving between home visits and we pay you during your driving time between home visits.

VOLUNTEERS OF AMERICA is hiring a In-Home Services Personal Care Provider (PCP) for the Senior PACE program.

Under the direction and supervision of the In-Home Services Manager is responsible for providing and assisting participants with activities of daily living, and supportive care necessary to the preservation of the home environment. Assist in providing a safe environment for the participants of Senior CommUnity Care. Functions as a member of Interdisciplinary Team.

PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) delivers all needed medical and supportive services to our participants. The program provides the entire spectrum of care and services to older adults with chronic care needs while maintaining their independence in their homes for as long as possible.

Job Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  1. Must have medical clearance for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunizations before having direct participant contact.
  2. Must have a valid driver's license, proof of insurance and have means of transportation.
  3. Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  4. Experience: Have experience in working with the frail and elderly population for a job, as a volunteer or helping take care of a friend or relative.
  5. Must pass drug test and background check.
  6. Skills and Knowledge:
    • Basic knowledge of how to support frail or elderly in Activities of Daily Living (ADL).
    • Knowledge of how to use and maintain in-home equipment (adaptive).
    • Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with participants, co-workers, medical staff, and the public.
    • Skilled in identifying and recommending problem resolution.
    • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
    • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
    • Ability to work with frail and demented population.
    • Ability to utilize computers and other electronic devices for tasks such as timekeeping, in-servicing and documentation.
