Summary:
The Cancer Prevention Associate II is a team supervisor at the NYS Smokers Quitline. Provides oversight and guidance to telephone coaches who serve callers and webchat participants reaching out for assistance with tobacco cessation. Training is provided to achieve mastery of the telephone coach duties including responding to and documenting phone, text and web inquiries. Supervisory duties include preparing daily assignments for coaches; troubleshooting technical and general concerns; scheduling staff; performing performance reviews; monitoring time and attendance. Demonstrates competence in customer relations management software use and significant customer service skills. Answer calls and chats as needed. Collaborates with other leaders within the cessation services program to advance our service and program offerings. Bilingual, Spanish-speaking.

This position is second shift, on-site at the Roswell Park campus. Hours are subject to change but include at least two shifts 12:30-9:00 PM and Saturday 10:30 AM- 7:00 PM. The call center is open 7 days a week: Mon- Fri 8:30-9PM; Saturday 8:30 AM- 7:00 PM and Sunday 8:30-5:00 PM.

The starting annual salary for this position is $43,434 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience

1. Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience in a call center, customer service or healthcare field; or
2. Associate's degree in an appropriate field and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time experience in a call center, customer service, or healthcare field; or
3. High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of six (6) years of full-time experience in a call center, customer service, or healthcare field.

NOTES:
1. Must be a current non-smoker.
2. Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Preferred Qualifications

The preferred candidate with have strong customer service experience including telephone service, excellent computer skills including customer service software, counseling and coaching experience, knowledge of the tobacco quit process and mentoring or training experience. The ideal candidate will also be bilingual/Spanish speaking.
