Summary

Lincoln Electric is seeking a CAD Systems Administrator to support the R&D Drafting Team within our Cleveland headquarters. The CAD Systems Administrator will coordinate, maintain and support software used to create 2D CAD drawings and 3D CAD models of engineering designed parts, assemblies, layouts and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Update software and document the updates and enhancements.
  • Evaluate new software from multiple vendors in order to deter their benefit to Lincoln Electric.
  • Develop training programs for new software packages, for major software upgrades and for new processes.
  • Create software programs to automate processes and to augment the capabilities of the CAD software and the operating system software.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to the CAD software and the operating system software.
  • Periodically review procedures and existing customized processes to determine if they could be improved, including improvement by utilizing new technical capabilities.
  • To provide service and support to all departments using CAD software and hardware.

Education & Experience Required

  • Bachelors of Science in Engineering Technology & 3+ years of related experience or, Associate Degree in related field & 5+ years of related experience or, 10+ years of related experience
  • Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, product data management and analysis software.
  • Ability to learn UNIX, VMS, PC-DOS, Windows and Windows NT operating systems.
  • Ability to learn network software packages and to understand networking concepts.
  • Ability to learn and work with databases, spreadsheets, word processors and associated software packages.
  • Excellent communication skills, excellent organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of standard engineering design and documentation procedures.
  • The ability to process figures, type and maintain neat and accurate records.
  • Willing to train departmental and non-departmental personnel.

Preferred

  • Teamcenter and/or Solid Edge experience not required but preferred.
