SUMMARY

The Business/Financial/Management/Analyst - Intermediate I will provide business analysis for the Office of Foundational Business, Mission Services Division Flight Standards Publications Branch, at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).This position is remote.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Works closely with the Directives Management Officer.

Assembles, reviews and signs Final Clearance Packages on behalf of the Flight Standards Publications Branch.

Reviews and signs Editorial Updates on behalf of the Flight Standards Publications Branch.

Requests FAA Web and Dynamic Regulatory System (DRS) Order authorization postings.

Creates Electronic Final Clearance Package folders on shared drives.

Performs qualitative and quantitative analyses, including project planning and execution.

Requires a variety of advanced skills such as creating information and maintaining databases.

Assists in maintaining web content of FAA SharePoint and KSN sites.

Applies advanced computer skills and knowledge of FAA practices.

Prepares, writes and edits a variety of correspondence in accordance with the FAA guidelines.

Prepares, creates, formats and edits spreadsheets, presentations and charts.

Assists with the development of detailed plans, branch goals and objectives for theshort-and long-rangeimplementation and administration of theprograms. Assists in developing criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of the programs.

Provides and engages in performance discussions about project tasks and provides information and documentation to the contractor company.

Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.

Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor's instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.

Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and co-workers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions as the best of own ability.

Promotes and encourages a culture of compliance with all applicable rules (federal, state, local, Federal Acquisition Regulations, Code of Federal Regulations, Prime Contract requirements, etc.) for themselves and the company as a whole.Fosters an environment in which they will reportanyviolations or reasonably suspected violation of CNI policy, FAR, and/or CFR and are comfortable discussing the myriad compliance, conflict, FAR, CFR, etc. issues that arise during the performance of a government contract.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in Engineering, Math, or Science; or Ph.D. and one (1) year of relevant experience; or Master's degree and two (2) years of relevant years of experience; or no degree and eleven (11) years of relevant experience.

Ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance

JOB SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES

Strong proofreading and editorial skills.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Programs, to include OneNote and Teams.

SharePoint userexperience:ability to navigate, upload, and collaborate using SharePoint.

Must be ahighly motivated self-starter.

Possess good communication skills and the abilityto communicate efficiently and effectively both written and verbally.

Ability to take direction easily and remain flexible as needs evolve.

Must be able/willing to take on new challenges; execute tasks in small windows of time; and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Ability to operate proactively - to anticipate where support for the client is needed.

Stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills, including the ability to conduct such activities seamlessly in a virtual environment, as required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax and print machines.This position is largely sedentary; however, has constant repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.Seldom lifting of office supplies weighing up to 20 pounds as necessary.
