Job Summary

Primary role would be to focus on specific key account targets with the goal of increasing Vertiv share of wallet by penetrating and navigating these accounts at all levels of an organization, with a focus on reaching and influencing high level executives. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to grasp complex organizational concepts and organize effectively. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong leadership skills and will have the ability to solve complex problems and quickly implement solutions.

This position will have global responsibility for assigned accounts and will be measured on our success across all product lines Vertiv provides. They will work closely with technical sales, LVO's, offering management and executive leadership to define our roadmap to success within each account and act as the "quarterback" to ensure our standing within each account is perceived as a preferred partner by the customer. Strategic account planning, productive and effective collaboration (in the Americas and globally), key influencer relationship management (end users, consultants, channel partners, etc.), account revenue growth, and executive level reporting are key responsibilities of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Call on Targeted Key Accounts: Call on and develop relationships at industry leading organizations with the intent to influence data center infrastructure purchasing decisions.
  • Establish Trusted Advisor Relationships: Penetrate key account targets and establish yourself as a trusted advisor for all influencers within the organization.
  • Account Management Collaboration:Work closely with Tech Sales, LBP's and Solutions teams to differentiate our technical capabilities within key account targets and manage information sharing between these groups to present a unified Vertiv to key accounts.
  • Develop and Deliver Account Updates: Create and maintain key account status templates and present to senior management at a regularly defined cadence.
  • Develop Business Strategy: Work with sales teams and sales management to develop the strategic plan for on boarding a new Named Account.
Qualifications
  • Experience interacting directly with key industry influencers and decision makers, including end users, consulting engineers and contractors.
  • Experience selling into or working with key influencers within the Colocation market.
  • Develop and maintain Account plans for key account targets.
  • Prepare and lead regular reviews for Vertiv senior leadership.
  • Functional understanding of Vertiv's technologies, solutions and capabilities
  • Fundamental understanding of Vertiv's served markets, our go to market business models and competitor's strengths and weaknesses.
  • Work with local Vertiv offices to support the direct interaction and execution of targeted accounts.
Education and Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree with minimum 10 years field sales experience, or MBA with 6 years' experience.
Travel Time Required
  • 50% Travel Required
