In connection with Computershare's purchase of the corporate trust business of Wells Fargo (WFCTS), Computershare has created a business unit, Computershare Corporate Trust (CCT) and Computershare is seeking to recruit various roles within the Second Line of Defense Risk Team.
A role you will love
The Business Control Tester is an important role within the Second Line of Defense Risk team for CCT. The role will be responsible for providing independent testing regarding the adequacy, effectiveness, and sustainability of control processes. The Business Control tester will report to the Business Control Testing Manager and will execute independent testing on key controls with the CCT business. Working as part of a team (initially 2) to provide output, analysis, and insight into the control environment.
The essential duties / core responsibilities of the position include the following, with others to be assigned:
- Executing independent control testing plans in relation to the CCT business on a cyclical basis
- Analyzing results ensuring sound conclusions,
- Engaging the business relative to the findings,
- Supporting the development of action plans and
- Support the development and delivery of a final report for executive management.
What will you bring to the role? - Knowledge of business controls within a financial services firm across all functions - Operations, Front Office, Technology, Information Security, Finance and/or Trust Services.
- In-depth understanding of different types of controls - detective, preventative, directive etc.
- Ability to independently execute a control testing program which meets the needs of many stakeholders.
- Ability to execute a testing strategy and sampling approach based on types of controls within CCT.
- Good understanding of the links between risks, issues, business processes and controls
- 5+ years in risk management or in a business controls capacity for a financial services firm
- Strong communication, analytical, and time management skills.

Compensation. The base pay range for this role is $76,000 - $120,000. This base pay range is a national average and may not be applicable to all locations.
