Blue Cross of Idaho is looking for Business Architect that is responsible for designing and guiding a business architecture blueprint of the enterprise that aligns with the business strategy. This role will analyze and develop a business model for connecting the enterprise strategy with business goals.

To be considered for this opportunity, you have:

Experience: 3 years (for Level I) or 5 years (for Level II) of business strategic planning, enterprise process analysis, engineering, or related experience

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field of study, or equivalent work experience (Two years' relevant work experience is equivalent to one-year college)

We'd also love it if you had:

  • Exposure to business architecture methodologies, Capability Analysis, Agile environment and methodology
  • Healthcare industry knowledge
  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
  • Experience working with enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, Federal Enterprise Architecture, etc)
  • Experience leading process improvement projects, applying standard Six Sigma/LEAN tools and methods within the healthcare industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and workflow management: Planner, Teams, Project, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Visio

Here's what your day may look like:
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, business leaders, IT architecture, business development and other partners to connect the business architecture roadmap with operational decisions in alignment with BCBS Association business requirements.
  • Create capability models and develops solutions for process improvement, system enhancement, and operations efficiency.
  • Identify metrics that measures the company's performance and efficiency towards the strategic goals/objectives.
  • Collect information from market analysts, external vendors, consultants, and the leadership team to build a business architecture strategy around the company's products and services.
  • Deliver conceptual approaches for solutions to business problems encompassing people, process, and technology.
  • Lead senior leadership through the development of a business architecture plan for the line of business or function.
  • Domain expert in the development of business architecture framework, tool suite selection/design, and methodology.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
