JOB SUMMARY:
Under general supervision of the Sr. Safety Manager, the Bilingual Specialist-HSE, Building Products provides general support for the Safety team as well as coordinates the Safety & Environmental activities for the company.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Comply with Company Safety Policies and Procedures
· Ensure and evaluate adherence to the Injury and Illness Prevention Program
· Conduct trainings on Company policies and procedures
· Complete incident reports and investigations
· Develop job-specific safety training and ensure delivery
· Train and certify forklift operators
· Monitor the Hazard Communications Program, including accuracy and archiving SDS
· Analyze injury trends and areas of vulnerability and come up with action plan
· Coordinate and monitor Loss Control activities
· Maintain OSHA Log 300
· Conduct plant walk-through inspections and report safety violations
· Coordinate with safety team to assure new and current operations are properly permitted and compliance with permits is carried out
· Maintain safety video library and documents
· Perform other duties as assigned or needed

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
· 1 -2 years' experience in functional role
· Bilingual English/Spanish
