EverCommerce is seeking a growth oriented and data-driven direct response marketing leader who is prepared to own the P&L, operations and organizational leadership of our family of directory services brands. These brands, Best Pick Reports and Five Star Rated, provide print and digital directories of qualified home services professionals to homeowners across the U.S.

The VP - Directory Solutions Group (VP-DSG) will bring energy, vision and expertise to the while driving the execution of respective brand initiatives and day-to-day business operations activities. The VP will be accountable for driving revenue and managing expenses to achieve P&L targets. You will report directly to the Group President. The ideal leader will have deep experience in B2C direct mail and digital marketing.

You are an engaging and visionary leader with deep domain expertise in direct response marketing, online and offline lead generation, performance marketing models, directory models, print media publishing, B2C and B2B marketing. You are an expert in online and offline marketing and have bridged programs between the two. You are a multi-functional operating leader who is effective as a general manager of a business, leading and developing all functions. You have a track-record of driving business unit growth and have driven scale, growth and market expansion. You are at-home in big data and quant-based marketing. You are highly strategic in your thinking, while knowing how to get things done with urgency. You have a strong and credible presence with customers, employees and stakeholders that delivers both confidence and humility. You are a team builder who knows how to develop your employees and attract best-in-market talent.

The EverCommerce team is distributed across the globe, with offices in more than 45 office locations in the U.S., Canada, UK, Australia and others. The Directory Solutions Group is headquartered out of Atlanta, GA, and while our ideal candidate is based in the Atlanta area, we are more interested in finding the best person for this role and open to great candidates from across the U.S.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the solution group P&L, deliver the financial and operating objectives.
  • Bring energy to the organization through active, intentional and dynamic leadership that drives performance across all functions.
  • Effectively communicate with group and parent company leadership, providing clear visibility into the financial health, operations and organization.
  • Provide strategic leadership, owning the organizational planning/integration, executional processes, and platform development to set and achieve key company growth goals.
  • Actively drive the product vision and strategy that charts a course for on-going growth, market penetration and economic success.
  • Drive go-to-market success with acumen in leading a growth-driven business group.
  • Manage the team responsible for day-to-day business operations, and simultaneously create a culture of growth-driven execution across the company.
  • Build a world-class team by developing existing talent and attracting premium new talent.
  • Establish, track and refine KPIs across business units to provide visibility and insight into organizational performance and execution.
  • Execute strong financial management and leadership. Develop and manage operating budgets and perform periodic reviews to understand progress towards revenue and profitability objectives.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of demonstrated successes leading high-growth business units:
    • Direct experience in driving revenue growth with P&L management and organizational management.
    • Sophisticated financial acumen. Ability to analyze and interpret financial and operational data, and prepare business reports, projections, and recommendations.
    • Understands the demands of a growth-oriented company bringing an entrepreneurial mind-set with the drive + balance to execute your vision at scale.
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency with:
    • Leading multichannel direct response strategies - including direct mail, programmatic digital advertising, and content driven demand generation.
    • Insight focused, data-driven decision-making in the B2C space with familiarity with leveraging 1st and 3rd party data for segmentation, targeting, and execution to optimize customer acquisition and retention goals.
    • Performance marketing, local marketing, and home services industry (or similar industry) considered a plus.
    • Big-data environments and application of analytics to drive decision-making and business performance.
  • Demonstrated experience as a thoughtful, articulate and performance driving leader, adept in building, leading, and inspiring teams through accelerated growth:
    • Ability to interface and collaborate effectively with multiple levels of company employees, ranging from senior executives to other functional business leaders (product management, marketing, operations), to functional employees.
    • Building action-driven organizations and teams that apply learning with operational agility.
    • A penchant for meeting challenges and unexpected opportunities head on by quickly assessing situations, making a quick, rational decision, setting a plan, and taking action.
  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills are essential.
