VCA Northwest Animal Hospital is seeking a bather for our boarding guests. Must be comfortable handling all breeds of dogs and cats. Associate will be responsible for bathing, drying, cleaning ears, and trimming nails for animals in our boarding facility. This is a part time position 3-5 days per week depending upon need. Must be available Saturdays and Mondays.

Shifts vary, but would typically be mornings from 8 am to 3pm.

Schedule to be determined by Kennel Manager.

Pay ranges from $14.00 to $16.00 per hour.

Duties include:

  • Bathing and drying Dogs and Cats
  • Nail trims
  • Cleaning of ears
  • Anal Sac expression
  • Minimal trimming around paw pads may also be required
  • Daily cleaning of the grooming area, including enclosures, tubs, floors, equipment, etc.
  • Weekly deep cleaning of grooming area.
  • Adherence and compliance with PACFA and USDA requirements.
  • Walking dogs. Cleaning up after both cats and dogs.
  • Maintenance, cleaning, and care of equipment.
  • Animal Husbandry
  • Restraint
  • Housekeeping.
  • Other duties as deemed necessary by Kennel and Hospital Manager
